This access point reduces device clutter while powering downlink devices such as IP phones or receipt printers with 2x 15W of PoE (802.3af) and supports 75+ wireless devices over 802.11ax Wi-Fi 6 with an aggregate wireless throughput of 1.7Gbps.

The HPE Networking Instant On Access Point AP22D features Orthogonal Frequency-Division Multiple Access (OFDMA), which allows access points to handle multiple Wi-Fi 6 capable clients on each channel simultaneously and improve efficiency by boosting overall capacity and reducing latency.

Target Wake Time (TWT) - Ideal for IoT devices that communicate infrequently, TWT establishes a schedule for when clients need to communicate with an AP. This reduces power consumption and can extend the battery life of clients.

Multi-User, Multiple Input, Multiple Output (MU-MIMO) - Allows the access point to simultaneously serve multiple clients (Wi-Fi 5 and Wi-Fi 6).
