This stunning cold cast bronze figurine pays tribute to the Desert Mounted Corps of Australian and New Zealand soldiers who bravely served in Egypt, Palestine, and Syria during World War One. It is a remarkable representation of the Light Horse Memorial found on Anzac Parade, Canberra. This figurine commemorates the Australian Light Horse Brigade, the New Zealand Mounted Rifles, the Imperial Camel Corps, and the Australian Flying Corps who served between 1916 and 1918. It depicts an Australian Light - Horseman defending a New Zealand Mounted Rifleman standing beside his wounded horse, symbolizing the unbreakable bonds between horsemen and their mounts.
